What atheists do each dayPosted by Gareth McCaughan on 2007-10-18 "Ian" wrote: > So, Jeff, in what way - apart from postings to Usenet - might we see > your faith at work? But answers from others are most welcome. Well, as an atheist obviously I like to start each day with a spot of rape or murder. Sometimes life is just too hectic and I only have time for some casual sex or blasphemy. I generally try to make sure to spend at least an hour a week (ten minutes a day, regularly, is best) practising saying in my heart "There is no God", and although it does get rather dull sometimes I have to keep up my quota of unnatural lusts. Since obviously I'm prohibited from keeping any of the Commandments, I take special care not to honour my father and mother. It's a delicate balancing act, though; if I accidentally go so far as to hate them then I'm in danger of obeying Luke 14:26. Of course I work all day on Saturdays *and* on Sundays. (It's best to be on the safe side.) And, having cut myself off from the source of all Truth, obviously I take care to lie whenever possible.
