Sure. This happens to all of us. What you are saying is that you don't
feel that God is there anymore. How else can you make that statement?
If your relationship with God is based on how you feel then somewhere
something's wrong. My kids over the years have been really angry with me
(and me with them) that doesn't mean that they don't love me. I've been
away on business trips (most of the time, actually) and they felt
deserted. But we know that we still love each other.
What matters is that God still, and always, loves you.
When my kids were babies they started to walk with my help. Then I let
go and stood a few feet in front of them, so they could take a few steps
by themselves, if they started to fall, I leant forward to catch them.
Then they got better at walking, so I moved further away, saying "don't
run!", but they ran and fell, and I was too far away to catch them. They
learnt to take care and to walk more carefully. Nowadays, I have to pick
them up (well one, anyway) when they get to Thailand and run out of jobs
and money!
God's like that, but because He's not standing in front of you and you
can't see Him, it doesn't mean He doesn't care, He's just letting you
know the difference in your life between trusting Him and doing your own
thing. The fact that you've responded here, means you know that!
Don't look at your own sin - that's the enemy talking - "look what
you've done - you can't be worthy!" God says, "My beloved child let me
wash your wounds and clean you up."
Church is the way we can support each other - to put a bonfire out you
drag the logs apart. Put them together and you get a blaze - that's
church. Go and get some friends to pray with you, else you're trying to
be a Christian by yourself, and there ain't such a creature!
Blessings, your in my prayers, Astra,
